Prague – Objects
Prague, the political and cultural center of the Czech state, was also the capital during the Holy Roman Empire. Its rich history has given it not only culture but also nicknames, including "City of Gold", due to the numerous gold details in its buildings, domes and towers. Tourists often try, even at the cost of fines, to take a "piece" of the city home with them. A characteristic of Prague are the sidewalks often paved with quartz cubes that design geometries. It's nice to hunt for golden details, including unfortunately, the brass "stumbling blocks" on the sidewalks of the Jewish quarter. However, quartz, a common local material, is always different, each stone is unique in its shape, and made iconic by the gold leaf coating. A cultured souvenir, rich in many meanings that does not deface the monuments.
